Dachangjiang-Shell Joint Laboratory of Lubricants Unveiled

On June 23, 2016, the Dachangjiang-Shell Joint Laboratory of Lubricants was unveiled at the Haojue R&D Center. The ceremony was attended and addressed by Shi Yan, General Manager of Dachangjiang Group, Zeng Yifan, General Manager of Haojue R&D Center, and Yang Xingdong, Deputy General Manager of Haojue Business Co., Ltd.

According to a report released by the independent third-party research firm Kline & Company, the global energy giant Shell has ranked top in the sales of lubricants for nine consecutive years. As a leading brand in the lubricants industry, Shell is known for its innovative excellence and has sold lubricants to around 100 countries and regions. The Shell PurePlus Technology, a patented process that enables formulation of fully synthetic oil products, has benefited many of its partners with innovative techniques and quality products.

As noted by General Manager Shi Yan, the laboratory was jointly established to develop globally competitive products by combining the technological expertise of Dachangjiang in motors and of Shell in lubricants through resource sharing and in-depth cooperation, eventually leading to increased domestic and international market shares of both companies. He hoped that both sides would jointly make sincere, practical and efficient efforts to set up a model of industrial cooperation with remarkable achievements.

Yin Feng, Sales General Manager of OEM at Shell (China) Co., Ltd., noted that Dachangjiang has worked on further improving its product quality and expanding its potential markets with a focus on lubricants quality and energy-saving technologies in response to the increasing public recognition of the importance of energy conservation and environmental protection. In technological aspects, the two companies will shift the focus on the improvement of lubricants quality for motors and the transmission system in the process of early R&D of motorcycle models, and in terms of product R&D, new types of Haojue-specific lubricants will be jointly developed to enhance motorcycle performance through professional lubricating protection, thus ensuring a safer and exceptional riding experience.

It was commonly recognized at the unveiling ceremony by speakers from both companies that the establishment of Dachangjiang-Shell Joint Laboratory of Lubricants as a joint effort made by two leading companies in their respective fields would produce the expected effects to enable more professional development of quality oil products and improvement of motorcycle performance in the years to come.
